Q: How much of the liquid tincture equals a 500mg capsule?

Asked by: Sher - 6/30/2020
A: Approximately 2 droppers full (32 drops) equals 1 OliveLeafMAX capsule, or 4 Organic Olive Leaf Powder capsules. The efficacy comparison is not equivalent due to the differences between the type of extracts. TIncture is a whole herb non-standardized extract. OliveLeafMAX extract is only standardized to maximize oleuropein. Olive leaf powder is unprocessed olive leaf. Therefore comparisons are approximations only.

Q: What is percentage and MG’S

Asked by: Rosemary - 12/14/2019
A: Constituent percentages and milligrams vary for non-standardized extracts like our olive leaf lincture. Therefore we do not list the percentages. Instead we list a plant material to extractant ratio which probably does not tell you what you want to know but give customers a way of comparing liquid extract to liquid extract.

Q: I have a tiny dog, she weighs 3.46 kgs and has over the last 2 months, had a very persistant nasal discharge. The vet took a nasal swab a few weeks ago, and found a bacterial infection and a yeast growth. She has had 3 different anti biotic courses to date.None has proved effective. The vet did tell me he would consider a nasal flush, should the yeast growth not respond to the meds. I am loath to do this, she is a Boston Terrier nearly 10 years. I am desperate. Please advise if you feel this product will help her. And how long would it take to kick in? Thank you so very much. Sally

Asked by: sally - 3/4/2018
A: We are not animal experts but recommend the organic olive leaf powder for pets. For your dog's exact condition we are not able to say whether it will be effective or not.

Q: For awhile I was able to take olive leaf extract capsules and had great results. After I stopped for awhile and started again it would make me throw up every time, even in small doses. Do you think I would have better luck with tincture and start with very small dose? Thanks

Asked by: Sue - 10/13/2016
A: You probably should not take the tincture either. You either have an allergy or a very sensitive system.

Q: Can this product be used directly on sensitive skin as well as taken with water?

Asked by: dnorton - 12/16/2015
A: This product is designed for internal consumption. However, it can be applied to the skin directly. I removed a wart with by applying directly on the wart and covering with a bandage. I did this repeatedly for two weeks and it was gone. As fore sensitive skin I think it must be tested and will depend on how sensitive your skin is.

Q: What is the difference between the olive leaf tincture and the extract?

Asked by: Cynthia Miller - 10/20/2015
A: The basic difference between them is our tincture is made with dried leaf in an alcoholic base, and our liquid extract is made with fresh leaf in a glycerin base. Tincture is more concentrated and therefore considered stronger, while the liquid extract has advantages of fresh leaf (more nutrients) and no alcohol.

Q: What is the amount of oleuropein in mg per dose?

Asked by: Jennifer - 9/28/2015
A: Although oleuropein is present it is not standardized therefore fluctuates from batch to batch. To comply with truth in advertising laws we are not able to advertise the percentage or quantity. The naturally occurring amount of oleuropein in olive leaf is between 1-5%. Tincture is a whole herb extract not made to maximize one compound as in OliveLeafMAX products.
