Q:Is olive leaf powder and olive leaf extract the same thing?
Asked by: Toby
- 6/16/2024
A: No, these are different products. Olive leaf powder is olive leaves milled to powder. Olive leaf powder extract is a concentrated and standardized extract made from olive leaf. Olive leaf powder extract contains far more oleuropein than olive leaf powder and is a more potent ingredient than olive leaf powder.

Q:Greetings: I have a question in reference to your 1lb bag of Olive Leaf Powder? I noticed you can make your own capsules with the powder. What other uses can you use the powder for? I’m curious if there are other uses than just making one's own capsules. I’m a regular buyer of your 100 ct tea bag item. Enjoy a cup after my morning walk along with a teaspoon of local raw honey. My ex is pre-diabetic. Was wondering if this might help in some way other than taking capsules. Thanks for your assistance in this matter.
Asked by: Mike Ponich
- 11/7/2023
A: Other uses are to mix in various food and drinks such as yogurt, smoothies, juices. Olive leaf powder is also great to give to your pets by mixing it in their food. See our page for pets for more information.

Q:Please explain what is the difference in strength between your Olivus leaf extract (25% Oleuropein) and organic Olivus leaf powder. Would the strength between these two be the same if both were measured and taken at the same level teaspoon amount?
Asked by: Art
- 5/15/2021
A: Olive leaf extract is formulated to maximize oleuropein and standardize it to contain 25% in every batch. This product (olive leaf powder) is not an extract of olive leaf. It is unprocessed olive leaf simply milled into a powder. Therefore the oleuropein content is the naturally occurring amount which typically measures from 1-6 %. Being unprocessed it contains all constituents found in olive leaf in their natural proportions. Many NPs feel this is the best approach for good general health.

Asked by: jane

A: You are asking a question about unencapsulated bulk olive leaf powder. Although many customers purchase olive leaf for herpes we do not advertise our products as a cure or treatment for any health condition, nor provide treatment dosage advise. You may want to purchase one of the books we sell which contains such advise or consult a natural practitioner. The most popular product we have for people with herpes is our OliveLeafMAX extract capsules which uses 250 mg olive leaf extract standardized for 25% oleuropein and 250 mg of this organic olive leaf powder. See the product page for further details.

Q:How long is the olive leaf powder good for? Would it go bad or just not be as effective? Thanks
Asked by: AB
- 9/1/2017
A: This product has a 2 year shelf life and with good storage conditions last longer. When it deteriorates it may loose potency, flavor, or possibly go bad altogether depending on what it was exposed to. Moisture is the worst as it will cause mold to grow making it unsafe, therefore do not store in the refrigerator.

Thank you!

A: This is an organic olive leaf powder which is not standardized or concentrated. It contains the naturally occurring amount of oleuropein which can fluctuate from batch to batch. This is why natural organic powders do not state the % of a particular element or compound. Having said this olive leaf typically contains between 1-5% oleuropein.
